It started yesterday at the airport where I met up with Andrea, Jesse, Lee, Leslie and Stacy. Our flight to Chicago was delayed, so we missed our connection flight from Chicago to Heathrow. Long story short, it was a mess, but we finally got onto a later flight and made it to London at 9:45 am.
But that's not the best part. When we got there we found out that British Airlines LOST my bag. It's still lost. So all I have is my carryon bag- luckily, that means I still have my laptop, computer, important documents, hairbrush and toothbrush. But no extra clothes. And the weather was pouring rain today! Since all of my rainproof stuff is still in my suitcase, I was completely drenched.
In spite of that, and being completely exhausted from the trip, I did have fun today. We learned a bit about the tube system and did a quick tour around London. It's so beautiful! I love it already.
My professor said the first day of travel is always the worst. I believe him. So here's to a better Day 2!
